The Texas State Team traveled to Korea in July for 2 weeks during the summer. The Texas team competed at the Gwangju Championships and the Korean Open.   Attending the trip were Team Lee junior athletes Alena Viana, Hannah Keck, Delaney Campbell, and Matthew Kim, and Team Lee cadet athletes Daniel Kim, William Jefferson, and Luis Boulnigui.

At the Korea Open (G2 International ranked tournament) Alena (jr -68kg), Hannah (jr +68kg), and Daniel (cadet -65kg) won Gold! Luis (cadet -65kg) won a silver medal, along with Delaney (Jr -42kg) and William (cadet -65kg) won bronze medals.

It was an amazing experience that gave the athletes an incredible opportunity for ring time in Korea and an amazing chance to experience Korean culture, food, and the heart of Taekwondo in Korea.  Each athlete gained memories that will last a lifetime!
